Questions we get asked
How long does it take to build custom cabinets?
Building custom cabinet boxes and doors usually takes several weeks once the design is set. Installation is scheduled separately and depends on how many cabinets are going in.
Can you match the cabinets I already have?
We can match wood species, stain color, and door style closely if we see a sample or photo of your existing cabinets. An exact match depends on the original wood and finish, since wood color changes over time.
Do you install cabinets I bought somewhere else?
Yes. We install pre-made cabinets from a supplier, setting them level, square, and anchored to the wall studs.
What's the difference between refacing and replacing cabinets?
Refacing keeps your existing cabinet boxes and replaces the doors, drawer fronts, and hardware. Replacing means building and installing new cabinet boxes from scratch, which takes more material and labor.
Do I need to be home during the work?
Someone needs to be able to let us in and show us the space, but you don't have to stay for the whole job. We'll walk through the work with you before we start and again when it's done.
What wood should I choose for my cabinets?
Solid wood and plywood both work well for cabinet boxes and doors. The right choice depends on your budget and the look you want, and we can go over options when we look at your space.
